Export2000*Web is an easy to use, intuitive, web browser based entry system for Export2000. Using your browser and our forms, you enter the required data for a shipment and it is then transmitted to the Export2000 AES Service Center where it is processed and sent to the U.S. Customs AES system. Export2000 only requires a web browser, with no special plug-ins or software required.
Export2000*Web includes many features that are designed to make it easier to enter data. Help files and information is all on-line and accessible while you are in Export2000. Lookups are available for codes (such as the carrier SCAC code, or country codes), and the Export2000 Assistant, and it's warning lights, let you know if a shipment is complete before you try to send it.
Once a shipment is ready, it is send to our AES Service Center. The Export2000 Service Center checks all of the data for errors, and returns messages detailing any errors and how to fix them. Once the shipment has been accepted by the Export2000 service center, it is sent to U.S. Customs. Once we have sent a shipment, it is covered by the Guaranteed Delivery Policy that we have agreed with Customs. Once our service center has accepted a shipment, you can move the cargo. If there are any problems with customs not processing the shipment, we will re-transmit it automatically until we receive a response. You are still responsible for making sure the shipment gets accepted, and correcting any warnings or errors that need your attention.
Reporting
The reporting component of Export2000*Web is made up of two different systems, the Shipment Reporting Service, and the Exporter Analysis Tool.
The Shipment Reporting Service is designed to give you at-a-glance reporting of the shipments you have in AES. The reports give you basic data that will allow you to identify a particular shipment, and also give you the status of the shipment in the U.S. Customs AES system. The Shipment Reporting Service also lets you retrieve a shipment directly into the Export2000*Web www interface to edit and resubmit.
The Exporter Analysis Tool is designed to give you a statistical view of your AES traffic. You can view and graph the number of shipments you send, and calculate the daily, weekly, or monthly average. If you are a forwarder, you can break your traffic down by Exporter, create groups of exporters to track, and even calculate your top exporters.
